Increasing the number of links to your site increases your popularity in most search engines. However, your actual popularity rating may differ from one search engine to another, depending on how extensive their index is as well as the quality and number of the links created.

Will LinkStory establish links, which I have neither requested nor accepted ?

No. By signing up with LinkStory you will become a member of a link exchange club. You will be able to choose and request a link to another member site and you can accept or refuse a link requested to your site by another member. But no link will be created without your knowledge and acceptance.

How do I know who links to my site ?

LinkStory supplies detailed records of your linking situation. You will be able to see links requested and awaiting approval as well as a detailed list of all links created indicating the date of creation, link description and the Url of partner sites.

Is the number of links limited ?

No. You can establish as many links as you like. The only limit is the obligatory approval of a member site to establish a link with your site.

Can I delete a link I have accepted but no longer wish to maintain ?

Yes. You simply request that the link be deleted and LinkStory will delete it, from both your site and the partner site.

How does a member link appear on my site ?

As soon as you have accepted a link, it will appear on your link page blending into your web site design.

Can I create links with any and all LinkStory member sites ?

In theory, yes. As long as the sites are within your website category. Swapping a link with a site which is outside your vertical market (or has nothing to do with your activity) can penalize the importance of your site to search engines.

How do I choose quality links ?

LinkStory will categorize your site according to its field of activity. We highly recommend that you choose from sites within the same category or eventually within a closely related category. Remember - the quality is as important to search engines as the quantity.

How long will it take to set up ?

Around 48h once your site has been accepted. LinkStory reserves the right to refuse any site with no justification necessary.
